Heather Hallman has worked for Southwest Youth and Family Services since October 2014 in the New Futures Program. She has served as the Middle and High School Academic Coordinator at Arbor Heights, the Site Manager at Arbor Heights and Woodridge Park, and now as the Program Director. She received her B.A. from Mt Holyoke College and her M.S.W from the University of Michigan with a focus on youth and community organizing. Her work has provided her opportunities to work with diverse communities from Detroit, Michigan to Manta, Ecuador, allying with individuals to build power and create inclusive communities that meet the needs of its members. She believes deeply in engaging youth in their families, schools, and communities and building an interconnected network of support and opportunity for students to thrive.
