SOUTHWEST EDUCATION CENTER

The Southwest Education Center (SWEC) aims to provide a positive educational experience to youth who have dropped out of school, have been expelled or have fallen behind in traditional school.

"Our teacher comes from the same background as us and teaches history in a way that relates to us today. when I got back to regular school, I had a new understanding of people all around me."

We strive to empower youth to change behavior patterns that have kept them from being successful in their education by providing student centered, individualized instruction with high academic standards that is community focused and stresses individual responsibility. Our purpose is to prepare youth to be successful in future educational or employment settings.
